WHY AM I RUNNING?
Weddington’s charm comes from its rural character, low taxes, and one-acre lots. Taxes increased 44% last year and smaller, half-acre lots are supported by our current mayor. Concerns about crime and the lack of transparency about significant changes being made threaten the future identity of our small town.
As a police officer with nine years of experience, I will bring effective solutions to town hall. I will be accessible and restore transparency, reduce unnecessary spending, preserve one-acre lots, maintain commercial development where currently zoned, and reduce crime. No ties to large donors or special interest groups, I will work for each resident in town.
MEET CHRISTOPHER
I am a North Carolina native and proud to call Weddington home. I am a Director, managing domestic and international security for a local non-profit organization. I am also a law enforcement officer with more than nine years of experience.
Earning Eagle Scout prepared me as a young leader, and I later gained valuable experience in business as the Chief Operating Officer of a local manufacturing company. I then began my public service in law enforcement. I had a positive impact on middle school students while working with administrators in the North Carolina public school system as a School Resource Officer.
My wife, my daughter, and I enjoy serving others through involvement in our church.
